I could feel your presence again last night.
Why, why do you keep coming from where I can't reach you...
It's done. Death did us part. Don't you understand!
Goodbye. Please.
Do not haunt me anymore.
Go back to where you belong...

To the living.
This poem has a funny enough genesis, so I thought I'd share it. I was browsing through MorbidHarlequin's most recent works, a bit hastily, between one university assignment and another. After briefly reading one of his poems, I thought to myself: what a twist at the end! What a great idea! Then, to get deeper into it, I read it again and realized I was wrong. He didn't write at all what I thought he did... The brief disappointment quickly turned into joy, because I still found the idea good - only this time I could make it mine.* :)

I'd be very interested in what you think about it!

* After I made it mine, the joy turned into slight disappointment again -  I realized it could be written a lot better, had the idea come to a real (and native English-speaking) Poet!

Concerning your postscript: You are a real poet. You write beautiful things and you capture emotion. That makes you a poet.

I didn't write it hoping that somebody would contradict it, but, nevertheless, I'm flattered that you did. Thank you!

I'm curious what the piece in question was.

The beginning of it is a bit similar, ending with the same words. Don't ask me how I read it the way I read it - I have no idea how it happened.
PS I'm not in trouble, right? :worries:

No, not at all. I was quite surprised to see the mention in my inbox though. I guess I say I'm more surprised to know that you looked at my stuff more then anything else.
I think the idea you ended with is quite interesting in fact. However, as to the meaning if the original piece of mine. Well, it's possible far more complex or far less depending on how a person sees dreams, and would take some further explanation.

Aww, come on. Why would I not look at your stuff? I still like your stuff and I'm glad whenever I see you uploaded something new. I've been living a half-deviantART life though... like you, am I not right... Not gone, but not really back either.

Well, my piece isn't a remake of yours with a different ending. Yours speaks of different things.
Actually, I'm not really sure how to understand it. A symbolic memory of someone? Something on the edge of happening and not-happening? Composing a surreal image out of remembered emotions and occurrences? The more I read into it, the more questions it creates...

I didn't really think that more then 3 or 4 people were looking anymore. Which is fine, I haven't been here for quite some time, and I've hardly posted much more. Like you said, not really fully here. More a shadow, of a shade, of a ghost.

Well strangely in a way, it might be one of my most straight forward pieces, though that doesn't mean it simple. No, it's a disturbing layer cake I can't really begin to yet understand. I guess the thing about it that's confusing is, that while I did see it, I don't know why it happened. I can try and explain it more throuhgly if you want, but not here.

You're doing quite well on flickr though, from what I've seen! Are you going to submit more photos, at least there? (:please:)

Actually, I would like to get a more thorough explanation, yes! Almost every word of what you wrote so far makes it seem even more complicated

PS I noticed on your page... "Hi Petrichor, thank you for the fav!" :lmao: I know people can have all kinds of names, but to automatically assume that this line is somebody's name... please.
